Camper Road Trip through the United States

Explore the Country in Your Own Camper

A road trip with a camper is easily done in the United States. You have a lot of freedom; in your route, and your pace and you can stay at campsites with many amenities. You can determine your own route but also choose a pre-set route with sleeping places. Where everything is already arranged and all you really need to do is steer.

You can often pick up campervans in one city and drop them off in another city. This used to be a lot more expensive, but this is no longer the case.

A round trip through the US in a camper is very popular. In particular a round trip through the west along the many national parks and cities like Las Vegas and San Francisco. But a round trip through Florida is also worthwhile. Or from New York to Miami. There's plenty of choice. These are the three most popular routes with a camper.

Campervan Tour through the West of the US

With national parks such as the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Death Valley, Yellowstone, Yosemite and possibly Arches, Badlands and Joshua Tree for example. And of course, cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Tour by Camper through Florida

With Miami, the Keys (including Key West), the Everglades, Crystal River, the amusement parks of Orlando and possibly also New Orleans.

By Camper from Seattle to San Francisco

The roughest round trip along the West Coast of the United States. Along, but especially through the Rocky Mountains. With national parks like Olympic, Crater Lake and Yosemite.

My Recommendation: From Miami to New Orleans

Florida is popular for a round trip. You can easily fly to Miami or Orlando and start from there. Your Bucket List should then include The Keys, Everglades National Park and the theme parks of Orlando. Oh, and the manatees of Crystal River. Obviously, you can also do the route the other way around.
