The water around Bali is known for great diving and snorkel spots. Where you can see tons of different animals, such as rays, sea turtles and sharks.

The clear waters around the Indonesian island of Bali offer great visibility to see the colourful corals and a huge variety of fish.

Menjangan Island

Menjangan Island is famous. Especially the Marine National Park. The name of this protected nature reserve says it all: This is a Marine Park. Here the coral, as well as the animals are well protected. Which allows you to see an unprecedented wealth of wildlife.

Tulamben

Tulamben is another well-known place. In the northeast of Bali you can go into the water here, where you will be amazed by the abundance of sea life.

USS Liberty

You can dive to the famous shipwreck the USS Liberty which is located near Tulanbem. This American navy ship was torpedoed by the Japanese in 1942, but is now a motley collection of coral, fish and other marine animals.The wreck is about 50 meters from the beach and can be seen especially in sunny weather. You can even recognise the many ornaments.

Amed

Amed is located in the northeast of Bali. This is also a well-known place, and can get very busy. But as soon as you go into the water you will realise why this is a good place to dive and snorkel.

Candi Dasa

Candi Dasa is less well known among tourists. But well known by the locals. It is located in the east of Bali.

Padang Bai

Padang Bai is also located in the east. Here too you can encounter all kinds of sea animals, both when snorkelling and diving.

Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida was once a secret, but that was a long time ago. This also applies to the underwater world, although not all tourists go into the water. So you can still see lots of fishes and other wildlife.

Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Ceningan is located in the east and is also one of the lesser known places.
