Climb the famous Half Dome

One of the most beautiful hikes in Yosemite National Park

Half Dome is a strikingly sheer 2,693-foot cliff in Yosemite National Park. And it towers no less than 1,444 meters above the valley. This lump of granite has become the icon of the park. And rightly so, because you must have seen the Half dome anyway. Even if you will not climb it.

It was long thought that this rock was unclimbable, but today there are several routes. Due to its hard structure, the granite rock has suffered remarkably little from millions of years of erosion. It gives a nice indication of how high the valley once was.

It is one of the most challenging hikes in the park. A day of climbing and scrambling to one of Yosemite's icons. Over mountain paths, rocks, and steel ladders. But with a wonderful feeling and spectacular view as a reward at the summit.
