It’s definitely not your average night’s sleep. At Waldseilgarten Hoellschlucht in Kappel in the far south of Germany you can sleep on so-called port-a-ledges. Normally reserved for climbers who sleep on cliff faces, you can spend the night on one hanging from a tree.

You can also spend the night on an actual cliff face, or for those of us not so keen, you can also stay on wooden platform between trees. With all three locations you have to climb up to your bed for the night first!

You are given a mosquito net and a tarp should it rain, but you can also choose to sleep under the stars. It’s definitely a unique experience, but the question is: would you sleep a wink?
