The Badeschiff (bathing ship) is a very special city swimming pool in Berlin. It is the transformed hull of a cargo ship, and lies in the Spree river. It is an idea of artist Susanne Lorenz, who in 2004 participated in the Stadtkunstprojekte in Berlin.
Swimming in the hull of an old cargo ship that floats on the Spree river. Whatever the weather, you can take a dip, or have a drink at the bar. The Badeschiff is also famous for live DJs regularly.
The goal was to liven up the area along the river Spree. You can visit The Badeschiff on your trip to Berlin. You can swim in summer or winter, as they cover it when it gets colder. It’s got a bar that is a popular place for a drink.
