The Makgadikgadi Salt Pan is enormous. It was formed when the century-old Makgadikgadi lake dried up, which was once fed by the Okavango river. This nature reserve is wonderful to explore.
The Makgadikgadi Salt Pan is the largest salt lake in the world. It’s a wondrous landscape where plants and trees manage to stay alive despite the extreme drought.
You can see wildebeests and the largest group of zebras in Africa. And where there are herbivores such as these, there will be predators nearby, such as lions and hyenas. You’ll also see flamingos here and plenty of other birds. It’s a safari with a difference.
