The Atomium was constructed for the Brussels World’s Fair, which took place here in 1958. It was designed by engineer André Waterkeyn. Five of the nine spheres are open to the public, and the top one is a restaurant.

How do I get there?

The Atomium is in the north of Brussels, a 5-minute walk of the Heizel/Heysel metro station (line 6).
