In the mountains of Algeria you can find Djemila, an amazing example of how the Romans managed to build a city in very rugged terrain. It’s not entirely clear why they did this, but that adds to the magic of the place.
The ruins of Djemila are a historical place in Africa. The Romans lived here about 2,000 years ago. They also built a temple of which the remains are still visible today. Which you can visit on your tour of the country.
