Bohemian Switzerland National Park

Rugged nature reserve with the largest natural standstone arch in Europe

Bohemian Switzerland National Park is a somewhat confusing name for this nature reserve in the Czech Republic, just near the German border. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Europe. And perfect for walking.

The local nature is protected in the park and human intervention is only allowed to a limited extent. This is a wonderful place to walk, there are numerous hiking trails. And you have the chance to encounter animals such as fox, red deer, roe deer, badger and wild boar. I have collected my tips and the best attractions for Bohemian Switzerland National Park.

Kamnitzklamm

De Kamnitzklamm in Boheems Zwitserland.

The Kamnitzklamm is a small gorge in the park. It has been carved out by water, by the river and rainwater. A hiking trail that has been constructed and runs through the gorge. It is made of wood.

You can enter the gorge with a boat and a captain. This is the best excursion in the area. You can clearly see how rough the area is. And it is a nice trip for photos. Especially if you go at the end of the day. You will find the Kamnitzklamm near Hřensko.
