Klein Bonaire is an uninhabited island off the coast of Bonaire. It is famous for is coral reefs and colourful fish. You can take for a swim or a snorkel tour around the island. Or just lay in the sun on the beach.
The mangroves around the island are an important breeding ground for fish and crustaceans. It was declared a part of Bonaire Marine Park in 1999, which ensures it will never be developed. Many hotel chains had plans ready to build luxurious resorts here, but that won’t happen.
You can jump off the water taxi and follow the current around the island and snorkel along the reef to see colourful coral, tropical fish and lots of big sea turtles.
