Photograph a llama at Machu Picchu

The Incas used the animal for the meat and made clothing out of the wool. The animals are not bothered by the altitude and they still make for a cute picture.

You too can easily take that famous photo of this wonderful animal and its impressive surroundings. If you see a llama, take it easy. If the ears go back, you should definitely pay attention; this is a sign that you are getting too close. The animals can also bite, although this rarely happens. Always give them room to walk away.

You come across llamas everywhere in Peru. But it is always extra fun in special places. Especially for taking a picture. Sometimes they even walk the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Even then you can often take beautiful pictures. It's lots of fun.
