Venezuela

An intriguing mix of table mountains, the highest waterfall in the world, and many wild animals

Venezuela is one of the most diverse countries in South America. There are rainforests, the highest waterfall in the world, a zoo called Los Llanos and of course the Andes mountain range.

Not many people know much about Venezuela. It’s literally an entirely different world compared to western culture. The most extraordinary example of this is Canaima National Park, and it’s obvious why it’s known as the ‘Lost World’. It has the highest waterfall in the world: Angel Falls.

The area is incredibly wild, and it’s a great place to wander around its table mountains and rainforest. You can meet numerous wild animals here. But its absolute pearl is Los Llanos, a rich swampland.

And in the west of Venezuela, you’ll find the foothills of the Andes mountain range, where you can go for great walks amongst the alpine flora.
