South Africa is an extraordinary country in the southern part of Africa. Once you’ve been here, Africa will forever be with you. And you will definitely come back for more. 


The country has diversity in both culture and nature.This sets the scene for an intriguing and colourful experience. South African is full of adventure from berg (mountain) to bush to beach. It has something for everyone to do. Safari, food, hiking, biking, cage diving, wine tasting, whale watching, turtle tour and much much more.

South Africa has many places to go on safari. You can either rent a car and explore on your own, or you can book a guided tour. Both have their pros and cons. 

Western Cape

The Western Cape province is a very popular tourist destination. The famous Table Mountain is found in the city of Cape Town. This is also known as the  Mother City of South Africa. Cape Town is a lively city, definitely worth a visit. You can climb Table Mountain, walk around Cape of Good Hope, or visit Robben Island.  Other attractions are the penguins, whale watching, the annual flower extravaganza, the Garden Route and the Cape Winelands with Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl and the list goes on.

If you’re more the adventurous type? Do cage diving with the great white sharks at Gansbaai.

Eastern Cape

This province has high mountains, beautiful stretches of coastline, safe swimming beaches and exquisite forests. Eastern Cape is ideal for going on safari, surfing, hiking, sailing, bird viewing and other activities.  It even has a ski resort. The two national parks in the Eastern Cape are  Addo Elephant and Tsitsikamma. For the adrenaline junkee you can bungee jump at Bloukrans, the highest bungee location in the world.

Northern Cape

The Northern Cape is home to the famous Kalahari Desert, the diamond fields around Kimberley and the beautiful Namaqualand flowers. If the winter rainfall were good then the flower extravaganza is simply breathtaking.

North West

The North West province is home to the Pilanesberg National Park. The volcano crater at the heart of this park is 1,000 million years old. The highlight in this province for most visitors is Sun City with its casinos, various hotels and waterparks.

Free State

This province boasts sandstone mountains and lies between two rivers - The Vaal and the Orange. The main attraction in this province is The Golden Gate Highlands National Park. It makes for a nice road trip. 

Kwazulu Natal

This province combines bush, berg and beach. Kwazulu Natal is known as the Zulu Kingdom. The main attractions here are the Elephant Coast, the South and North Coast and the Drakensberg. The flagship Big 5 game reserve is the Hluhluwe Imfolozi National Park. A province that can be visited all year round. Witness turtles laying eggs, whales splashing in the ocean, the Big 5, largest pods of hippos in South Africa and much much more. 

Gauteng

Gauteng means place of Gold and is  the smallest of all 9 provinces. Highlights here are hiking, shopping, various museums, casinos, Cradle of Humankind and Rietvlei Nature Reserve. The metropolitan cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria are situated here.

Limpopo

This province borders Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The main attraction for this province is that part of the Kruger National Park is also situated here. Limpopo has beautiful landscapes, the UNESCO Biosphere Waterberg Reserve, museums, the world’s largest and oldest baobab tree, and various other attractions.

Mpumalanga

The world famous Kruger Park National Park is the main attraction of this province. But Mpumalanga has more to offer like the Blyde River Canyon, beautiful waterfalls, caves and stunning mountain ranges.
