Around 7.100 islands with incredible diversity

The Philippines are more than sunny golden beaches, palm trees and crystal-clear waters. There are idyllic islands, and intriguing animals such as whale sharks and tarsiers. And then there's the food...a trip around the Philippines is a delight for all your senses.

The Philippines is made up of around 7.107 islands, so it’s perfect for island hopping. You can take a ferry, or try one of the locally built wooden fishing boats. Or you can take a sailboat. A ferry is nothing but a way to get from A to B, so you might as well try something more exciting.

A wooden fishing boat is more something you’d imagine in a tropical place like this: a nice wooden deck to catch some sunshine, the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. The sea all around, here and there an island with palm trees, beaches and villages.

You have to experience the Philippines, above and underwater. There are many options for exploring the underwater world here: there’s famous Apo Island with its sea turtles, Donsol with its whale sharks, Coral Garden near Puerto Gellera, and Hundred Islands National Park. But everywhere is great for snorkeling and diving, really. And you venturing out on your own can sometimes be the most exciting way to explore.
