Montenegro is not very big, but offers great diversity. The country is enjoying an increasing interest these days. The Adriatic Coast harbours many rustic fishing villages and deserted bays and beaches.
But most remarkable is the mountainous hinterland, which is ideal for hiking in the ancient forests, amongst numerous lakes and rivers as well as very high mountains.
In winter it’s a great place for skiing and snowboarding, especially in Kolašin.
The country is also home to cities such as Kotor, with its ancient centre that’s on the World Heritage List. If you make a (short) tour of Montenegro, you’ll be amazed by all it has to offer.
