The Nasir ol Molk Mosque in Iraq would be right at home in a fairytale from One Thousand and One Nights. It has colourful leadlight windows, which is rare for a mosque.
The light inside changes colour as the day progresses, dominated by pinks. This is why it is also known as the ‘pink mosque’.
How do I get here?
The Nasir ol Molk Mosque is located near the Iranian city of Shiraz. It’s in the district of Gowad-e-Arabā. You’ll find the Shah Cheragh funerary monument nearby, as well as the Vakil Mosque and the Vakil Bazaar.
