Temple of Kom Ombo

A unique double ancient Egyptian tomb

The Temple of Kom Ombo is unusual, because unlike other temples, this ancient Egyptian temple is dedicated to two gods, the falcon god Horus and the crocodile god Sobek.

It is also a remarkably good looking temple at shore of the river Nile. The Temple of Kom Ombo is not very popular, but well worth a visit. The remains are perfect for taking photos, especially at sunset.

Visiting Kom Ombo

The temple is located along the Nile between the cities of Aswan and Luxor. It is clearly visible from the water. And you can take good photos. This temple is almost always visited when you cruise the Nile. Which gives you the time to visit him before you continue.
