Bike through a lake in Bokrijk

There is a unique bike path in Bokrijk: it goes straight through a 212-metre wide lake, and you'll ride below the water level. In short, you can ride through a pond at The Wijers in Belgium without getting wet!

You have to see the photos to understand what we mean, and you’ll see how special this bike path is. There are several ponds called The Wijers near Bokrijk, which you’ve always been able to ride around on bike paths. Very nice.

But now, you can do something way more exciting. You can cycle right through the middle of a pond, with the surface and the water plants at eye-height. It’s a great and unique experience!

The Wijers in Bokrijk is located at junction 91 of the bike path network in Belgium.
