Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail

Is this Australia's most beautiful walking trail?

Kangaroo Island's wilderness trail is a 5-day trek of about 61 kilometers through unspoilt nature in Australia. You'll walk through the bush and past high cliffs, and if you're lucky you'll regularly have kangaroos for companions.

I was amazed at the wealth of wildlife on this island. Which actually made me not want to stop. Even though I was a little tired. This walk shows how rough the southern part of Australia is.

The route covers the southwest of the island. You will walk through the famous Flinders Chase National Park, Kelly Hill Conservation Park and the Cape Bouguer Wilderness Protection Area.

Hiking route with many highlights

The trail covers the southwest of Kangaroo Island. You’ll walk through areas such as Flinders Chase National Park, Kelly Hill Conservation Park and the Cape Bouguer Wilderness Protection Area.

The trail takes you past all the attractions such as the Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Weirs Cove, Hanson Bay and the Kelly Hill Caves.

There are 4 campsites along the trail where you can pitch your tent. There is a limit to the number of walkers that can walk there at any time to avoid pollution, so make sure you book (online)!
