Types of Clubs
The two types of clubs, woods and irons, are used for specific kinds of strokes during the game. Woods - These clubs are for teeing off on long par four and par five holes and for long-distance fairway shots. Irons - These flat, steel-faced clubs are used for short and long fairway strokes. The putter has an upright face and is used on the green to push the ball toward the cup.

Tips from the Pro
Use the same swing on the golf course as you do with your practice shots. Grip the club with both hands acting as a single unit. Not gripping too tightly or too loosely will help improve your swing. Instead of keeping your head down, move your head with your swing. Your feet, hips and shoulders must aim parallel (and left) of the target.
